Treatment of anal polyps

Anal polyps are benign tumors of the anal canal arising from the mucosa or connective tissue. They can be so-called adherent or on a pedicle of different length and size. Many times they are a secondary finding on instrumental examination of the colon or rectum.
They can be mistaken for an advanced form of haemorrhoidal disease on non-professional examination, or mistaken for changes in a long-standing, chronic fissure.

Symptoms that are associated with anal polyps are:

  • itching,
  • mucus discharge,
  • bleeding,
  • running out of the anal opening during bowel movements,
  • Urgency, urge to stool.

It is important to distinguish polyps from malignant tumors of the rectum and the beginning of the anal canal.
If you suspect an anal polyp, don't hesitate to see our specialist.

For common polyps that require removal, we proceed painlessly and without the need for any anesthesia or hospitalization.

Treatment of perianal thrombosis

Treatment of anal duplications

Anal duplications mean a buildup of loose skin around the anal opening. They occur frequently in patients and are almost always benign (harmless). They are usually mistaken by patients for hemorrhoids.
